Typist/Receptionist needed for our Rhyl and Colwyn Bay offices

This role will see you based front of house and duties will include;

  • Providing a professional and efficient reception service
  • Answering and transferring incoming telephone calls
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the office
  • Dealing with queries over the telephone and in person
  • Provide an audio typing service to the criminal/family department
  • Dealing with suppliers and other third parties
  • Updating case management systems
  • Organising meetings and appointments
  • Diary management

To be considered for this role you should have previous reception experience gained either within a law firm or a similar professional services company as well as possessing excellent audio typing speeds. The firm prides itself on its client care level and this should be something that you are equally passionate about and you should have the ability to communicate with clients and external organisations.

Family/Childcare Solicitor

Qualified Solicitor NQ – 3 years PQE (though other more experienced candidates will be considered)

Ideally you will have completed a 6 month seat in family/childcare law during your training contract. A desire to obtain panel membership would be welcomed and the firm is keen to support you with this.

The successful candidate will have experience in this area with a genuine interest and passion for progressing in this practice area. The role will see you dealing with a range of publicly funded matters from initial instruction to completion, including child contact arrangements, domestic abuse, special guardianship and care/placement proceedings. Experience in dealing with private matters such as divorce, finances, matrimonial would be an advantage.

You will represent clients at Court, so will be a strong communicator with effective advocacy skills, able to manage client expectations whilst maintaining a compassionate approach offering a supportive service to those more vulnerable clients.

You will support other members of the team with their caseload and vice versa.
