Simon Killeen

Simon is Humphrys Dawson’s in house Counsel, a barrister of the Inner Temple who qualified in 1984. Simon practiced at the independent bar in Liverpool Chambers from 1984 until joining us in 2014.

Simon was appointed a part-time Crown Court Judge (Recorder) in 2001 and still retains this appointment. Simon specialises in all areas of Criminal law and has conducted cases ranging from assault through to murder and conspiracy to murder, fraud and multi-million pound drugs cases, rape and other serious sexual offences, all types of driving offences including causing death by dangerous driving, serious theft offences, burglary and blackmail.

Simon has also developed a speciality in Proceeds of Crime Act applications, Serious Crime Preventions Order Applications and other orders sought by the Prosecution which affect human rights.
